Fabric Folk Dolls
This is a doll pattern I developed after the traditional wooden Matryoshka
dolls, or Russian Nesting Dolls. I have loved and collected them since I was a
child. Each Doll has a name that represents the doll's culture and personality,
and each doll is hand made and each face hand-painted by me. I also sign and
date the bottom. Fabric Folk Dolls can be purchased through my store at www.ericadaley.etsy.com.
Russian Dolls

This doll name is Pavlinka, or 'to give'
This doll is Sveta, meaning 'light'

This doll is named Arina, or 'peace'

Arina

Here is an example of how small a doll can be made. The doll pictured on
the left is also the tiny doll in the photo on the right. She is standing next
to a full size (8 inch) doll. So the dolls may not actually nest together like
wooden Russian nesting dolls, but they can be made in descending sizes.
