Odds and Ends

Here is another project that is right up my alley. I love organizing things! I always have. My ribbons were really bugging me, all thrown in a bin together and getting tangled up, so I decided to do something about it. I cut up some corrugated cardboard in a variety of sizes. I then jumped into my origami paper stash and wrapped up each piece of cardboard. I used tape to secure the paper, which makes it pretty quick, but you could use glue. I then wrapped one to five types of ribbon on each board and secured them with a pretty pin. The pin keeps it on the cardboard much better than taping the ends. You can use any type of paper as well - like wrapping paper, or pretty papers you find at the craft shop, whatever you want!

Here is my ribbon box before.                                                   Here is my ribbon box after.

Here are a few more detail pictures. As if ribbons weren't colorful enough, the origami papers and pins add a lot more variety and aesthetic appeal.

Fabric Bowls

Here are some fabric bowls that I created. I didn't like the patterns I have seen elsewhere because I prefer containers with flat bottoms. These are perfect for holding my sewing supplies and small toys like the finger puppets shown.
